We are pleased to announced that for the first time our venue will be taking part in Independent Venue Week and we are pleased to announce that as part of this week Tim Burgess & The Average Sex will be performing in our Banking Hall. 

Following the release of TimBurgess’ latest solo album As I Was Now in 2018 and UK dates with Ariel Pink in August, Tim is now pleased to announce a nine-date UK tour with his favourite London based five-piece Average Sex. The band, who are signed to Burgess’ O Genesis Recordings and also, conveniently, play as his solo band as The Anytime Minutes, recently released their latest single ‘To My Dead Friend’. 

Speaking about the tour, Tim Burgess says: “Really excited to be touring again with my friends Average Sex aka The Anytime Minutes. There are some venues that I really love that I have not been to for a while and it will give me a chance to reconnect with some of my favourite motorway services.”

Tim’s latest album‘As I Was Now’ features an array of Tim’s uber talented friends; Ladyhawke, Joshua Hayward (The Horrors),  Martin Duffy (Primal Scream), Debbie Googe (My Bloody Valentine), Steffan Halperin (The Chavs/ Klaxons). The album was recorded in Cheshire in December 2008 by the group of friends and was released, nearly ten years later, on transparent blue vinyl for Record Store Day 2018.
